Manshur Zikri (b. January 23, 1991) is one of main researchers at Forum Lenteng, Jakarta. He graduated from the Department of Criminology, University of Indonesia, in 2014. Since 2010 until now, he is in charge at the akumassa Program of Forum Lenteng.
He was the Coordinator of Media Watch Program initiated by Forum Lenteng in 2012. Together with Otty Widasari and Lulus Gita Samudra, he published a book as an output of the Rekam Media about seventeen local mainstream mass media in Indonesia. He was also one of participants of akumassa Program who contributed in 15th Jakarta Biennale 2013: SIASAT. Based on the project recording the daily life of Senen residents, he (and his team at akumassa) published Art on Senen Border.
In addition as researcher, , he is currently one of the curators at the ARKIPEL – Jakarta International Documentary & Experimental Film Festival and also the editor for the festival’s catalogue.
In 2014, he was invited as keynote speaker at The 6th DMZ International Documentary Film Festival for “Asian-Korean Docs Forum” in South Korea. In the same year, he followed the program of resident curator in the framework of an exchange program between Ruangrupa (Jakarta) and Impakt (The Netherlands).
Zikri likes to write articles on the issues of media, arts and cultures.
